BeBook One 2010 Edition Firmware

This is the instruction page for installing BeBook 'One' 2010 Edition ( 6" screen ) Firmware.

Here is the latest firmware update for your BeBook eReader. Firmware version: v3asetup.nl.july2010

Important

This firmware cannot be used on the BeBook One 2009!

Before you start

  • BACKUP/COPY ALL CONTENT FROM YOUR BEBOOK TO YOUR PC!!
  • MAKE SURE YOUR BEBOOK IS FULLY CHARGED

Changes: 

  • Improved battery power management.
  • Improved parser for PDF.
  • Improved menu layout.
  • Minor changes in some items.
  • Minor adjustments and additions in license texts.

Install

  1. Download the update: HERE
  2. Check the filesize of the downloaded file v3asetup.nl.july2010.zip should be : 86 MB
  3. (To check : right click the downloaded file and choose : "properties" it will show the actual size. Don't use the update if the filesize is different.)
  4. Unpack the v3asetup.nl.july2010.zip file using WinZip. (free trial versions: http://www.winzip.com/ ); The filesize of the unpacked file (V3asetup.bin) should be 130 MB.
  5. Copy the unpacked file 'V3asetup.bin' onto the root of an SD card. (SD cardsize should be larger than 128MB, but no greater than 1GB.)
  6. Turn off the BeBook
  7. Insert the SD card into the BeBook eReader.
  8. Press and hold the V+ (volume up button) and turn on the BeBook eReader.
  9. When the update interface appears, press the "OK" Button to start and wait until it's finished.
  10. Restart the BeBook.

In order to download the most recent titles in ePub format, you have to download Adobe Digital Editions®. This program will help you to order and synchronize your eBooks. Follow these steps to install Adobe Digital Editions

  1. Go to www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions.
  2. Click on the START INSTALLATION button.
  3. Follow the Installation wizard.
