BeBook One Firmware

This is the instruction page for installing BeBook 'One' ( 6" screen ) Firmware.

Here is the latest firmware update for your BeBook eReader. Firmware version: 2.02NL.091127

IMPORTANT: This firmware cannot be used on the BeBook One 2010 and 2011 Edition!

NOTE: Adds the ability to read Adobe DRM protected files.
WARNING: Removes the ability to read Mobipocket DRM protected files. (non DRM Mobipocket files can still be read). Should not be used on the BeBook One 2010 Edition.

Before you start

  • BACKUP/COPY ALL CONTENT FROM YOUR BEBOOK TO YOUR PC!!
  • MAKE SURE YOUR BEBOOK IS FULLY CHARGED

Install

  1. Download the update: HERE
  2. Unpack the V3update.2.02NL.091127.zip file using WinZip. (free trial versions: http://www.winzip.com/ ); 
  3. Copy the unpacked file 'V3update.bin' onto the root of an SD card. (SD cardsize should be larger than 128MB, but no greater than 1GB.)
  4. Turn off the BeBook
  5. Insert the SD card into the BeBook eReader.
  6. Press and hold the V+ (volume up button) and turn on the BeBook eReader.
  7. When the update interface appears, press the "OK" Button to start and wait until it's finished.
  8. Restart the BeBook.

Adobe Digital Editions

In order to download the most recent titles in ePub format, you have to download Adobe Digital Editions®. This program will help you to order and synchronize your eBooks. Follow these steps to install Adobe Digital Editions

  1. Go to www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions.
  2. Click on the START INSTALLATION button.
  3. Follow the Installation wizard.
